Apple TV allows consumers to use an HDTV set to view photos, play music and watch video that originates from limited Internet services or a local network. In synchronization mode, Apple TV Programming works in a similar way to the iPod.
Apple TV can also function as a peer-to-peer digital media receiver, streaming content from iTunes libraries and playing the content over the network.
